Arthur Louis Fransaw
1946 - 2024

Arthur Louis Fransaw, born on November 25, 1946, in Corrigan, Texas, was the beloved son of Samuel and Alberta Fransaw. As the seventh of thirteen children, Arthur grew up in a large and loving family. He accepted Christ at an early age, a faith that guided him throughout his life.

In the late 1960s, Arthur moved to Houston, where he met and married the love of his life, Mattie Marie. Together, they raised two sons, Charles Edward Johnson and Danny Ray Love, creating a family filled with love and cherished memories.

Arthur departed this life on December 14, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his wife, Mattie Marie, his sons Charles and Danny, and his sisters Charcie Jenkins, Ollie Fransaw, Doris Fountain, and Lillie Fransaw. His family also includes 6 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

A service to honor Arthur's life will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, with a viewing starting at 10am followed by an 11am funeral service at Duncan Mortuary Chapel, 5806 N. Wayside Dr., Houston, Texas 77028. Rev. B. K. Williams will officiate the service.

Interment will be private.
