Andrew Walker was born on April 21, 1948, in Texarkana, Texas, to Elizabeth Walker and Rev. Andrew Jackson McFadden. He was lovingly raised by his grandmother, Matter Henrather, after both of his parents had preceded him in death. Andrew attended Macedonia High School and later proudly served in the United States Army, where he earned his GED. Following his military service, he became a dedicated truck driver and was known for his hardworking spirit, resilience, and deep love for family. Andrew met his first wife, Cora Petties, and together they were blessed with one daughter, Delvin Walker Harrison. Later in life, Andrew returned to his hometown of Texarkana, Texas, where he met and married Patricia Meadows. Throughout his life, he lived in several places, including Tacoma, Washington, before eventually settling in Houston, Texas, where he resided for many years. Andrew accepted Christ at an early age and attended St. John Baptist Church. His faith remained an important part of his life, and he valued the relationships and memories he created with family and friends throughout the years. Andrew will be remembered for his strength, wisdom, quiet endurance, and the love he shared with those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
