Alice Irma Thomas was born April 23, 1924 to parentage of Ben and Bessie Thomas. She accepted Christ at the age of twelve years old and was baptized by her grandfather Richard Lott at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Big Cane, Louisiana. In, 1951 she moved to Beaumont, Texas where she was employed for five years at the Box Factory. She later relocated to Houston and began working in the hospitality industry until she retired after thirty-eight years of service. She began to sing with the Queens of Harmony Quartet which was organized by her eldest sister, Georgia Arnold.

While in Houston she united with Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she worshipped until her health fail her. On September 28, 2019 God call her home. She was lovingly known as mother Thomas one of the eldest mothers of the church. Her passion and love for her family members will forever be remembered.

She is survived by her sisters, Josephine Basey, Ameulia Price, and Bessie Arbury all of Houston Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services for Mrs. Alice Thomas will be on Saturday October 12, 2019 at Little Zion MBC located on 5701 Tidwell Rd, Houston, Tx 77016 With a 10:00 am viewing followed by an 11:00 am services. Officiating Bishop John Baines Sr.
