1953-2023

Ada Thomas was born on April 1, 1953, to the union of A.B. and Ida Mae Anthony in Houston, Texas. She was the third eldest of seven children. She met and married Bobby Thomas in Houston, Texas and to this union, their daughter (Emica) was born. She became a devoted servant to the Lord when she joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, under the late Dr. James E. Lightfoot.

On March 19, 2023, Ada Thomas, better known as "Aunt Puddin" or "Puddin Pie" gained her heavenly wings. She lived her life with a beautiful spirit and brought smiles, and laughter to everyone who knew her. She enjoyed taking care of her family. She lived her life and was employed as a caretaker for her mother, sisters, and brother. She loved to laugh and tease others to make them laugh as well. She was a person who enjoyed having a good time with her family. She loved cooking and feeding anyone who would come visit her. She was known for her chicken and rice, mustard greens, and sweet potatoes. She was very kind and very outspoken. She would always tell it like was, she would hold nothing back. We all loved how she never tried to "sugarcoat" what she had to say.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband, sisters: Terry Anthony, Evelyn Woods, and Ida Williams, and brothers: A.B. Anthony Jr. and Donyea Anthony.

She leaves to cherish her memories her brother: Robert Anthony (JoAnn) daughter: Emica Fields (Eric), grandchildren: Denzel, Jasmine, Kayla, and Eric Jr, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.

Services for Ada Thomas will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Zion M.B.C. which is located at 9318 Homestead Rd. Houston, Texas 77016.
